What Reddit says
Astra
Reddit users discuss Astra mainly as a free WordPress theme with an optional Astra Pro add-on, and some ask whether it is too heavy for beginners. Recurring problems include WordPress.com plans blocking theme installs, Pro license activation failing, and difficulty customising headers and menus.
Jupiter X
Reddit users who have used JupiterX like its multiple editable styles and header grouping, but one long-time fan says updates to Elementor and the theme keep causing friction. A 2024 thread compares it with Phlox, Astra and OceanWP for a creative agency site, and the discussion there is mostly open-ended.
