What Reddit says
Presto Player
The two Reddit threads that name Presto Player both raise problems: one user finds it too basic because it does not save where a viewer left off, and another reports the progress scrubber does not work in Chrome. One user says it works well enough for selling paid course content.
Slider Revolution
Reddit users mostly describe Slider Revolution as heavy on page speed and awkward to use, and several are looking for lighter free alternatives. A 2025 arbitrary file read vulnerability in the plugin also drew update warnings.
